A historic Hillcrest building that started out as a bank in the 1920s has been sold for $6.6 million.
The 10,362 square-foot building at 502 University Ave. was bought by Chris Garcia from Pete Katz.
Built by Security Commercial and Savings Bank, the building is home to the San Diego County Credit Union along with several other retail and office tenants. It was fully leased at the time of sale.
The sale included two adjacent parking lots totaling 7,207 square feet.
Nicholas Totah, first vice president of The Totah Group at Marcus & Millichap’s downtown San Diego office, represented both parties in the sale.
