Ross is a listing broker specializing in the sale of retail and mixed-use investment properties throughout San Diego County, representing private owners, family offices, and other private capital groups on the disposition side while also advising and representing clients on acquisitions. A San Diego native, Ross earned his Bachelor’s degree in Urban and Regional Development from the University of Arizona, giving him a formal foundation in investment fundamentals, market dynamics, and the forces that shape neighborhoods, an academic background he pairs with boots-on-the-ground familiarity with the submarkets, tenants, and trends that move pricing in San Diego. Taking pride in helping clients unlock value in both their portfolios and the neighborhoods they invest in, Ross combines deep local market knowledge with an investor’s perspective on every assignment.

Ross joined Marcus & Millichap in 2018 and has since closed hundreds of millions of dollars in transactions, all with a dedicated focus on retail and mixed-use assets. His specialization in retail and mixed-use gives him a sharp read on leasing dynamics, tenant quality, value-add strategies, and the underwriting nuances that separate a good deal from a great one. Ross is also well-versed in 1031 exchanges, regularly helping clients navigate identification timelines, replacement strategies, and trade-up opportunities across various markets and product types. Clients trust Ross because he takes the time to understand their objectives and timeline, building a strategy tailored to each client’s goals and the specific dynamics of each property.

Recent notable transactions include the sale of 2445 5th Avenue in Bankers Hill for $16.4 million, named Best Mixed-Use Deal of the Year by the San Diego Business Journal which was the second consecutive year Ross and the team have earned that recognition; 4750–4760 Oceanside Boulevard, a multi-tenant retail shopping center, for $11,650,000; and 1025 Prospect Street in the heart of downtown La Jolla, for $10.3 million.

Outside the office, Ross can be found on the course at Torrey Pines or Coronado, snowboarding in Colorado, bass fishing in Arizona, or fly fishing the rivers of Colorado.
